After another reset it was still in poor shape so after downloading WIN 10 ISO to my C: I went ahead and clicked on “Keep personal files and apps” and the process was similar to refresh in WIN 8.1 as my chrome browser was still intact after it, unlike WIN 10 reset (keep personal files option) which wipes plenty and still does not whip things into shape.Īnyway after resetting with a downloaded ISO “sfc/scannow” runs successfully and Dism exe/…. Well I have got my laptop running as it should thanks to this Paul’s link here. Now run DISM and point it at the new drive letter: Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /source:WIM:X:SourcesInstall.wim:1 /LimitAccess This will give you a new drive letter to use with DISM. Right click on the saved ISO and select “Mount”.
